Konzeptuhr GIRO / Concept Timepiece GIRO

Konzeptuhr GIRO mit drehbar gelagertem Echappement.

Das gesamte Echappement des mechanischen Uhrwerks kann manuell um die Achse des Hemmungsrades gedreht werden.

Der Sekundenzeiger und das Zeigerwerk werden dabei je nach Drehrichtung vorwärts oder rückwärts verstellt ohne das Uhrwerk anzuhalten.

Die sekundengenaue Synchronisation mit der Normalzeit wird so zum Kinderspiel.

Concept timepiece GIRO with pivot-mounted escapement mechanism.

The whole escapement mechanism of the mechanical movement can be rotated manually around the axis of the escapement wheel.

In doing so the second hand and the hands train are adjusted clockwise or counter clockwise according to the direction of rotation without stopping the movement.

Thus the synchronization with standard time to the split second becomes a child’s play.

Konzeptuhr GIRO 2 mit Minuten-Tourbillon.

Das normalerweise mit der Werkplatine verschraubte Sekundenrad des Tourbillon kann hier manuell gedreht werden. Der Effekt ist der gleiche wie bei der Konzeptuhr GIRO mit drehbar gelagertem Echappement.

The tourbillon seconds wheel, which is normally bolted on to the base plate of the movement, can be rotated manually here. The effect is the same as for the concept timepiece GIRO with pivot-mounted escapement mechanism.

Prototyp Armbanduhr ASTROGATOR mit superleichtem Kunststoffgehäuse.

Das Gehäuse besteht aus nur drei Einzelteilen. In das Mittelstück aus Polyacetal (Polyoxymethylen) werden ein Bodenglas und ein Deckglas aus transparentem Polyacryl (Polymethylmethacrylat) eingesprengt. Die Dicke der Gläser, die Form der Ränder und die Durchmessertoleranzen sind so bemessen, dass im relevanten Umgebungstemperatur-bereich eine ausreichende Wasserdichtigkeit des Gehäuses ohne zusätzliche Dichtungen erreicht wird.

Prototype Wristwatch ASTROGATOR with ultra light weight plastic housing.

The housing consists of three parts only. The center part is made from polyacetal.

The bottom and the top crystal are made from transparent polyacrylics and are clipped on to the center part. The thickness of the crystals, the shape of the edges and the tolerances in diameter are designed to achieve sufficient watertightness of the housing within the relevant environmental temperature range without additional gaskets.
